I’m a South African freelance journalist passionate about art, life, style and urban culture; a voice over artist and an all round media person.
I started out as an intern at Marie Claire magazine and SL (Student Life) mag in 2003. From 2003 – 2004 I was a Channel O Presenter and hosted the Friday night live music show, HOLA with KB Ngakane for the M Net channel.
During this time I scored myself a supporting role in an Always Pads commercial directed by Sunu Gonera. Thereafter I worked as an entertainment writer for Independent Newspapers’ National Tonight supplement (writing for Star, Pretoria News, Cape Argus and Daily News) from 2004 – 2012, specializing in theatre, music and film.
I wrote for the now defunct YMag and Tribute Magazine. I’m a theatre enthusiast and contributing features writer for afripomag.com.
You can find my freelance features on various topics ranging from health, lifestyle, celebrity profiles to the arts on iol.co.za; Mail & Guardian; True Love; Grazia; Elle; Radiobiz.co.za; Bona; Samsung Magazine and afripopmag.com.
I dabble in Public Relations too, having done PR for the Johannesburg Arts Alive International Festival; Moshito Music Conference and Social Media Week Johannesburg.
Here you’ll find my musings on theatre, coupled with a few of my articles and other arty stuff I like.
